Faitrade & Organic
Fairtrade helps farmers, pickers, and workers in developing countries to get a better position in the supply chain. This allows them to live off their work and invest in a sustainable future. Fairtrade’s mission is as follows: together we make the world fairer, with equal opportunities for everyone.
Puro Organic tea is grown according to European guidelines for organic farming. In the production of organic food, as much consideration as possible is given to the environment and animal welfare. For example, organic tea is grown without the use of chemical pesticides, and nature is at the center of cultivation. No chemical coloring, flavoring, or flavoring agents are used.

With the exception of the signature jasmine green tea (from China), all Puro tea – both green and black – comes from Sri Lanka, formerly known as Ceylon. The country has a long history of producing high-quality tea and is one of the world’s largest tea exporters.
One of the main reasons why Sri Lankan tea is so unique is the country’s climate and soil conditions. The climate is warm and humid year-round, which is ideal for tea growth. The soil in Sri Lanka is also rich in minerals and other nutrients that contribute to the flavor and quality of tea.
The organic tea from Sri Lanka used in Puro blends is sourced from SOFA (Small Organic Farmers Association) plantations. (witregel) Puro’s boxes are certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and carry the FSC MIX Packaging logo. The FSC is an international organization that promotes sustainable forest management. Puro’s heat-sealed envelopes, which enclose the tea bags, are also made of FSC-certified paper.
